A pizza restaurant just off the University of Louisville’s campus had its liquor license suspended last week due to underage drinking.
Louisville Metro Alcoholic Beverage Control said Monday in a news release that it began investigating Fire Oven Pizza on Cardinal Boulevard after reports of underage alcohol service. On October 2, detectives arrived at the restaurant and saw multiple underage patrons drinking alcohol, one of whom was under the influence.
When ABC detectives arrived, they said several people ran for the exits, and nine of them were ultimately cited.
ABC then suspended Fire Oven Pizza’s liquor license, immediately prohibiting the sale of alcohol at the restaurant while detectives fully review the case.
