Tate Inc. will bring 400 full-time jobs to Glasgow with the opening of its largest North American facility, officials announced Wednesday.
The $61.2 million project is the largest economic development investment in Barren County in nearly 20 years.
The company plans to renovate a 764,000-square-foot facility into a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant focused on data center components and containment products for U.S. customers.
Barren County competed with multiple states to secure the project, which is expected to have a major economic impact on the community, according to a news release.
Once fully operational, the facility will manufacture high performing thermal management and airflow solutions engineered to optimize efficiency and reliability in the most demanding of data centers.
Tate Inc., a subsidiary of Irish-listed Kingspan Group PLC, operates 21 facilities worldwide and employs more than 1,800 people. It is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland.
