A Hart County grand jury has indicted a Glasgow man in connection with a crash that killed his daughter.
Cory Bowles, 31, is charged with murder stemming from a May 2025 crash on Interstate 65, about a mile north of Horse Cave near the 59-mile marker southbound.
Kentucky State Police served the new indictment warrant to Bowles on Tuesday at his home.
His 9-year-old daughter, Kinsli Bowles, was injured in the crash and later died at Norton Children’s Hospital, according to her obituary.
Bowles was initially jailed following the crash and had previously been indicted on two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, and one count of fourth-degree assault.
Court records indicate one of the first-degree assault charges was dropped with the latest indictment and replaced by the murder charge.
Bowles is scheduled to be arraigned January 20 in Hart County. He is represented by B. Alan Simpson.
He remains lodged in the Barren County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
A jury trial is set to begin August 24 in Hart County Circuit Court, with Judge Charles Simms presiding.
