
A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that took place in the Southside neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Caleb Elder, 25, was taken into custody on Wednesday, January 7, for allegedly shooting a man in the leg on Monday, January 5.
According to arrest documents, Elder and the victim are believed to have been in the same car while having a verbal altercation. Elder is accused of then shooting the victim, with the bullet breaking his femur, before fleeing the scene.
After obtaining a search warrant, police located and searched Elder’s car, where they found the victim’s wallet.
Elder’s bond has been set at $50,000.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, January 16.
