
One person died after a house fire in the 7000 block of KY 69 in Centertown on Sunday.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office responded to a house fire in Centertown at approximately 2:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The initial call stated that a victim was still inside the residence.
A body was recovered, and a death investigation revealed that 43-year-old Nathan Wollen is believed to have died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
Sheriff Adam Wright said they believe a heater malfunctioned and caused a fire.
No foul play is suspected.
Other agencies that responded include the Centertown Fire Department, Hartford Fire Department and the Ohio County Coroners Office.
