A man has been charged in connection with a homicide that took place in the Parkland neighborhood last November.
On November 11, 2025, Louisville Metro Police responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of South 29th Street that left one victim dead.
Louisville Metro Police Department announced on January 15, 2026, that suspect 22 year-old Ryan Simms, had been taken into custody in connection with the homicide.
Simms is being charged with murder and receiving a stolen firearm.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit says they are still actively investigating.
