
Kentucky State Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred early Tuesday morning on Interstate 65 southbound near the 100-mile marker in Hardin County.
At approximately 4:30 a.m., Kentucky State Police received a call regarding a pedestrian in the roadway who had been struck by a Dodge Durango operated by an individual from Alabama. The pedestrian, identified as 45 year-old Carl Ollis of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner.
Interstate 65 southbound was closed for approximately four hours while Kentucky State Police conducted the on-scene investigation and collision reconstruction.
The investigation remains ongoing.
