The Louisville Metro Police Department has announced the arrest of a man in connection to a fatal shooting near Pleasure Ridge Park.
The shooting happened in the 7500 block of Winstead Drive on February 6 around 5:30 a.m. Police said when officers arrived at that address, they found a woman who had been shot multiple times in the back. She later died at the hospital.
According to court documents, police used license plate readers, surveillance video and an interview with 59 year-old Lonnie Roberson, in which he said he was the only man who lived in his apartment, to identify Roberson as a suspect in the shooting.
Louisville Metro Police arrested Roberson on February 10 and charged him with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Roberson is expected in court for arraignment on February 11.
