Multiple suspects have been arrested after a weapon was stolen from a car on the Meade County High School campus on Tuesday.
Meade County School District Superintendent Dr. Mark Martin sent out a letter to parents Wednesday afternoon informing them of the incident.
According to the letter, the vehicle arrived at the campus after school hours, and the incident did not happen while classes were in session.
Dr. Martin said since the crime took place after students had been dismissed for the day, there was no indication of threat to students or school operations.
The situation was handled directly with law enforcement, leading to the weapon being found on Wednesday and multiple suspects being charged.
