Leitchfield woman has been arrested after twice assaulting a Leitchfield police officer.
The incident happened around 10:45 Friday (4/3) night at Owensboro Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center when 44-year-old Jennie L. Lawson, was reportedly behaving aggressively and belligerently as she left the hospital against medical advice. After confrontations with officers outside and inside of the facility, police attempted to arrest Lawson, she kicked an officer in the leg and struggled with officers.
Lawson was medically cleared for incarceration and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center, where she was charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest and second-degree disorderly conduct.
