Louisville Metro Police have arrested a man accused of shooting an 18-year-old woman as she rode in a vehicle along Dixie Highway last month.
Detectives with LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit said 40 year-old Steven Calhoun was taken into custody in connection with the June 9 incident. Police said the shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the 5300 block of Dixie Highway near Lower Hunters Trace.
The 18-year-old was taken to the hospital with injuries that were non life-threatening. She is expected to recover.
Calhoun is charged with assault, wanton endangerment and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
