A Louisville man has been arrested and is facing charges related to the production and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Matthew Waterbury, 40, was arrested Thursday, July 2, after detectives received a tip about the creation and possession of child pornography. The tip included his name, and an email and phone number belonging to Waterbury.
According to the arrest report, detectives saw at least two videos depicting Waterbury with a minor reported to be nine years old and at least five images of juveniles under the age of 12 involved in what the arrest report called “either a sex act or lascivious exhibition.”
The arrest report said that Waterbury is seen with the victim’s hand on his penis in the videos.
Waterbury has been charged with promoting a minor under 16 in sex performance, possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor under 12 and sexual abuse of a victim under 12 years of age.
He was scheduled to be in court Friday morning.
