Talik D. Fitzpatrick, 30, is jailed on a $100,000 cash bond after Louisville Metro Police say he and a co-defendant robbed a man during what was supposed to be a vehicle sale.
Court documents say the victim agreed to meet them on May 30 to buy a car and brought $15,000 in cash.
Police allege Fitzpatrick hit the victim in the head with a handgun, took the money, and fled.
Investigators say surveillance video shows someone leaning out of a vehicle and firing multiple rounds, creating a risk to the victim and a passenger. Police also say an uninvolved, unoccupied vehicle was damaged (more than $500).
Fitzpatrick is charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment (discharge of a firearm), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and first-degree criminal mischief. The citation notes officers were serving a Jefferson County complaint warrant when he was arrested at 9th Street and West Oak Street on July 10.
A no-contact order has been entered, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 20.
