A Louisville man with prior felony convictions, now accused of a violent armed robbery and attempted murder, is also facing more federal-local drug trafficking and weapons charges after federal agents raided his West End home.
According to court records, 35 year-old Brandon A. Williamson was arrested on August 12 and is currently being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on a combined $1,000,000 cash bond.
Newly obtained police citations show the Louisville DEA and local officers executed a search warrant on August 12 at Williamson’s residence on the 100 block of North Shawnee Terrace.
Williamson, who is currently on federal probation, was observed upstairs inside the home during the raid.
According to the arrest citation, Williamson took over 15 minutes to exit the residence.
Officers searching the home discovered four handguns hidden inside an upstairs heating and air vent. Investigators noted the vent is not a natural location for handguns and asserted that the weapons had been placed there with the intent to hide and distance himself from them.
In addition to the concealed firearms, investigators recovered trafficking quantities of narcotics.
In connection with the DEA search warrant, Williamson has been charged with:
First-Offense Enhanced Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)
Second or Greater Offense Enhanced Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Heroin)
Tampering with Physical Evidence (for hiding the firearms in the vent)
Four counts of Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun
Shively Armed Robbery and Attempted Murder
The drug and weapons charges are in addition to a series of violent offenses Williamson allegedly committed in Shively.
Shively police report that Williamson and an unidentified co-defendant approached a victim with guns, demanding his property.
The two allegedly attempted to force the victim into the trunk of his own vehicle.
When the victim refused, Williamson allegedly opened fire, shooting the victim multiple times in both legs, both arms, and the abdomen. The victim survived by crawling underneath the rear of the vehicle to escape further gunfire before the suspects fled the scene.
Shively police noted the entire incident was captured on video surveillance, and Williamson was subsequently identified through an investigation aided by an anonymous tip.

Attempted Murder
First-Degree Robbery
Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun
In a separate case, Williamson faces charges stemming from a second shooting incident that occurred on Garland Ave.
Louisville Metro Police Department records allege Williamson went to the home of a former partner to retrieve a vehicle. After initially leaving the scene with the vehicle, Williamson returned minutes later and fired multiple rounds from a handgun at his former partner and another victim.
The shots missed both victims but damaged nearby vehicles.
For this incident, Williamson faces the following charges:
Two counts of First-Degree Wanton Endangerment
Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun
Williamson has an extensive criminal history in Jefferson County that includes prior convictions for second-degree manslaughter and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Because of his past convictions, he is prohibited from possessing any firearms
During his arraignment on August 13, Williamson entered a plea of not guilty. The judge issued strict “no contact” orders protecting the victims and a “no guns” order.
His next hearing is scheduled for August 21.
