General Mills is recalling 1.8 million boxes of Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios that are labeled gluten-free because the products may contain wheat.
Boxes of either brand that are dated to be used by July 14, 2016, and were manufactured at specific factories are affected by the recall. Affected products can be identified by a product code on the box.
According to the General Mills, issues at a California facility may have caused the contamination of the products.
Any customers who have wheat allergies and bought the affected products should call the company at 1-800-775-8370.
