
A two vehicle accident happened Tuesday night near Custer when a truck struck a car. According to the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 8 P.M., three miles east of Custer near the intersection of Highway 690 and H. Board Lane.
A 2001 Ford F150 pickup driven by 59 year-old Michael Lynch of Custer struck a 1997 red Toyota driven by 29 year-old Aaron Robinson of Custer, and left the scene of the accident.
The truck was found about a mile and half away at the Bennett Cemetery. Robinson was taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital for his injuries by Breck Central EMS. Lynch returned to the truck and appeared to intoxicated.
As a result of further investigation, Lynch was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first degree; leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to maintain insurance. Lynch was lodged in the Breckinridge County Detention Center.
