Threatening messages have led to increased security and the cancellation of classes at some Kentucky schools.
Wednesday classes were canceled at Montgomery County schools in central Kentucky after threats were discovered in the bathrooms of two schools. Classes will resume next Tuesday, after the scheduled fall break.
The Montgomery County district has created a talk and text tip line for students and others to report “possible unsafe conditions.”
Additional law enforcement has been sent to Bullitt Central High School following the discovery of threatening graffiti in a bathroom. The message warned that the school “would blow up on Friday.”
Bullitt Central Principal Jim Beavers believes the threat is a hoax, but they are taking it seriously enough to increase security. The school will remain open this week.
