
A 6-year-old Woodford County boy was stabbed to death early Monday (12/07) morning during a home invasion.
According to his arrest report, 32 year-old Ronald Exantus of Indianapolis entered a home in the 300 block of Douglas Avenue in Versailles about 4 a.m. on Monday and proceeded to walk around the residence. Exantus went to an upstairs bedroom where the boy was asleep and stabbed him repeatedly in the head using a knife he found in the house.
The victim was identified by the Woodford County Coroner as Logan Tipton.
The victim’s two sisters were also cut, but they survived.
Exantus fought with the children’s father who held him until police arrived and took Exantus into custody.
Police said Exantus confessed to the crimes. He was arrested and charged with murder and first-degree burglary and taken to the Woodford County Detention Center. The Woodford County Attorney said three assault charges also are pending against Exantus.
