Lexington’s first shooting of 2016 turned into its first homicide overnight as the victim died.
Joseph Allen McDowell, 28, died of multiple gunshot wounds at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital very early Saturday (1/02), according to the Fayette County coroner’s office. McDowell was found near the sidewalk in the 400 block of Roosevelt Boulevard about 5:15 a.m. Friday.
An autopsy was scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday.
