The search for a missing Rineyville teenager ends in New Jersey.
Emma Riney’s mother told a Louisville television station that her daughter is safe with family. The 17-year-old was found Monday morning after going missing on Thursday.
Kentucky State Police originally thought the girl was with a man, but Riney’s mother now says that’s a stranger she met on a Greyhound bus and he’s in no way tied to her disappearance. She says her daughter left because she was being a teen.
Troopers are working with New Jersey authorities to take the girl into custody and get her back home.
