One person was taken to the hospital Thursday evening after a single accident involving a motorcycle.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the accident just before 5:30 pm Thursday in the 3600 block of Old State Road. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Shawn Hammock of Vine Grove, was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS for severe face injuries. The Meade County Fire Department assisted the Meade County Sheriff’s Department at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
