
After two days of a regional search effort, a missing plane and it’s pilot from Owensboro was discovered Wednesday (6/1) afternoon.
According to officials involved in the search effort, the burnt remains of the missing plane was discovered by a private and military helicopters Wednesday (6/1) about seven miles northwest of the Falls of Rough airport where it had taken off early Monday (5/30) afternoon. Officials believe they have found the body of the pilot, 70 year-old Robert Dalzell Jr. of Owensboro.
Crews from multiple agencies assisted in the search, now the investigation continues into what caused the plane to crash minutes after it took off from the air strip in Grayson County.
