Area events and fire departments once again raised money for special needs children in the region.
The Crusade For Children in it’s 63rd year raised a grand total of $5,465,933.47 from the two day telethon. Meade County contributed $73,612.39, with the Payneville Fire Department collecting $23,298.32;
Flaherty Fire Department: $19,664.59;
Meade County Fire Department: $15,874.31;
Ekron Fire Department: $12,650.04;
Muldraugh Fire Department: $2,125.13;
The surrounding counties donated:
Hardin County Fire Departments: $118,867.73
Breckinridge County: $54,488.67
Grayson County: $23,942.75
