
Two people were injured in two separate accidents Tuesday (8/23) in Meade County.
The first accident happened around 3:30 am Tuesday morning at Brandenburg Station at the intersection of Kentucky 448 and 1638. A vehicle came to rest in the parking lot next to fuel pumps at the former corner gas station. Units from the Meade County Sheriff’s Department and Brandenburg Police responded to the scene along with the Meade County EMS and Meade County Fire Department. The only patient was discovered walking near the intersection of the Bypass and Old Ekron Road. The person as taken to University of Louisville Hospital by Meade County EMS.
The Meade County Sheriffs Department responded to the second accident around 5:50 pm in the 3900 block of Kentucky 1638 between Doe Valley and Lick Skillet. One of the two vehicles involved briefly caught on fire but members of the Meade County Fire Department were able to extinguish the flames. One person was taken to the hospital by Meade County EMS.
