In the early morning hours on Aug. 30, Soldiers from Fort Campbell will be employing live Mine Clearing Line Charges in the Fort Knox training area.
These charges carry a high quantity of explosives, and residents in and around Fort Knox should expect a loud explosion; although, communities are outside of the hearing hazard area.
Military training in the late evening/early morning hours involving aircraft, maneuvers and weapons firing is an important aspect of maintaining critical capabilities and readiness of all units.
This notice of significant range activity is provided as a courtesy for residents of neighboring communities. Increased noise and vibrations may be experienced during this period.
