
Three people were taken to the hospital after a single vehicle near Payneville Friday (9/23) morning.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 1:30 am in the 1000 block of Fackler Road, when a 2005 Pontiac driven by 18 year-old Cailen Pate of Webster was traveling north and failed to navigate a left curve. The action caused her car to go off of the right shoulder of the roadway and strike an embankment then tree which caused the car to overturn down a steep embankment.
Pate along with her passengers, 17 year-old Hunter Jensen of Vine Grove and Michael Johnson of Webster, were taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Meade County EMS for minor non-life threatening injuries. The Payneville Fire Department assisted at the scene where the roadway was closed about two and half hours.
