
Meade County emergency crews responded to accidents over the weekend.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the first accident was reported around 5:45 pm Saturday (11/12) at the intersection of Highway 313 and Buck Grove Road. A white pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed and attempted to turn onto south Buck Grove Road when the drive lost control and went over the bank and crashed into the Buck Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. One person was taken to University of Louisville Hospital by Meade County EMS. The Ekron Fire Department assisted the Meade County Sheriff deputies at the scene about two hours.
A second accident happened Monday (11/14) morning around 7:15 am along the 14,000 block US Highway 60 as crews responded to a report of a overturned vehicle. At least one person was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown by Meade County EMS for their injures. The Ekron Fire Department assisted the Meade County Sheriff’s Department at the scene about 45 minutes. No other details are available.
