Spring Fire Hazard Season begins in Kentucky Wednesday (2/15) until April 30.
During the period, it is illegal to burn anything within 150 feet of any woodland or brush land areas between the daylight hours of 6 am until 6 pm.
The state law is intended to prevent forest fires by allowing outdoor burning after 6 pm when conditions are generally less likely to cause a wildfire to spread. If you plan to burn anything during the evening hours, call your local your fire department.
