An Annetta man was arrested after he shot a woman and then drove to a residence in Edmonson County on Monday (3/20).
Kentucky State Police said the incident happened around 2:15 pm CDT at a residence in the 600 block of Meredith Ridge Road in Annetta. The resident 42 year-old Tonya Johnson left her home after being shot and drove to another residence along Jock Road in Edmonson County. Johnson was taken Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee for injuries and was later released.
Kentucky State Police Detectives spent the night conducting an investigation at both locations resulting in the arrest of 65 year-old Tommy Hayes of Annetta. Hayes was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center on charges of carrying a concealed weapon by prior deadly weapon offender.
More charges are expected as the case remains under investigation.
