A Hardin County jury found two men guilty Friday (3/24) of numerous felony charges related to a 2016 kidnapping, robbery and assault of a woman after deliberating for about three hours.
Trevor Dalton Brown Jr., 20 of Elizabethtown, was found guilty of complicity to kidnapping of an adult — causing serious physical injury; complicity to first-degree robbery and complicity to attempted murder from a Jan. 31, 2016, incident when Dealynn O’Connor was assaulted and taken from a Radcliff mobile home to a bridge between Meade County and Indiana. When the bound O’Connor was told to jump into the Ohio River, she refused and was stabbed by Brown.
Marc McCoy, 37 of Louisville, was convicted of complicity to kidnapping of an adult — causing serious physical injury; first-degree assault and theft by unlawful taking more than $500.
Brown was sentenced to a total of 40 years in prison and must serve 20 years of the sentence before he is parole eligible. McCoy was sentenced to 20 years in prison and will be eligible for parole after serving 17 years.
Three others charged in the case — Angela New, Schawn Millin and Christopher Deaton testified Monday and accepted plea deals to amended charges for their testimony.
