Three inmates at the Grayson County Detention Center were found unresponsive this past weekend.
According to Grayson County Jailer Jason Woosley, the three inmates were found around 8:15 pm Saturday (3/25) as jail deputies made their routine tasks. Two of the inmates were found incapacitated while the third became combative with the special response team at the jail. All three Class D inmates were taken to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center and was returned to the jail a couple of hours later after receiving treatment.
Jailer Woosley said an investigation is underway to determine how the spice made it into the facility and made its way to the inmates. Upon the completion of the investigation, those responsible party or parties will be charged with with promoting contraband. The three inmates involved face disciplinary action, including the loss of accumulated “good time” and additional criminal charges.
