A two vehicle accident Thursday (5/11) afternoon on Brandenburg Road stalled traffic about 45 minutes.
According to the Meade County Sheriff’s Department, the accident happened around 4:10 pm at the temporary intersection of Kentucky 313 and Doe Run-Ekron Road, near the construction lane shift to Brandenburg Road. One of the drivers was trapped as a result of the collision between the vehicles. Both drivers were taken to University of Louisville Hospital and three children were taken to Nortons Children’s Hospital in Louisville by Meade County EMS.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Meade County Fire Department. No other details were immediately available. The roadway reopened around 5 pm.
