Vine Grove Police are investigating two separate robberies at two locations of the Apothecare Pharmacy.
Vine Grove Police responded to the Apothecare Pharmacy after it was burglarized between 12:30 and 1 am Tuesday (7/11) morning. Police discovered the front door had been damaged. Surveillance footage showed two suspects approaching the front of the pharmacy and partially disabling the alarm system.
The suspects were wearing dark clothing, dark head covering and gloves, forced their way through the front door and immediately ran behind the counter and to the shelves of medication appearing to look for specific pharmaceuticals.
About two minutes later, the men left ApotheCare heading south toward Boone’s Cleaaners, behind the building near the intersection of Peck and Crutcher Streets. Police believe either a vehicle was waiting for them or an accomplice was waiting to drive them from the scene.
Vine Grove Chief Kenneth Mattingly was advised that the ApotheCare Pharmacy on Woodland Drive in Elizabethtown was broken into recently. Surveillance from both locations indicate the suspects in the two robberies are the same.
The video acquired from the Vine Grove location has been uploaded to the Facebook page of the Vine Grove Police Department. Chief Mattingly is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.
