
Louisville Metro Police have made six arrests after a News Years Eve shootout at the Enclave at Breckenridge apartments in Hikes Point.
Police say there were more than 40 different guns used and approximately 600 rounds were fired. It is believed the shooting was the result of a confrontation between gangs. Fortunately, there were no deaths or injuries.
Police said eight guns and five stolen vehicles were recovered.
Six people so far have been arrested in connection to the investigation.
Two of the six people arrested, Tevin D. Smyzer and Justyn D. Walls, were also charged in connection to a homicide in the St. Denis neighborhood in December.
Shawn Martin, 25, was charged with trafficking in controlled substances, receiving stolen property and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
Dorius Robinson, 19, was charged with three counts of receiving stolen property $10,000 or more and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
Brandon Walton, 22, was charged with receiving stolen property $10,000 or more.
Nathan Wolz, 42, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
The incident remains under investigation by the Louisville Metro Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
