A line of strong winds moved across Kentucky during the day Friday causing extensive damage to buildings, numerous power outages and at least three deaths.
Many area schools were closed due to the predicted severe weather threat.
Governor Andy Beshear confirmed one person from each Simpson County, Edmonson County and Logan County has died from the severe weather.
There were numerous reports of trees uprooted, roofs blown off and power lines down as the storms moved through the area.
