A two vehicle accident claimed the life of both drivers around 6 p.m. Monday in Hardin County.
Kentucky State Police’s preliminary investigation revealed a 27-year-old Hardin County resident, Hunter Bailey, was traveling north in the 3600 block of Shepherdsville Road in a 2005 Toyota Corolla, and for unknown reasons crossed the center line striking 54-year-old Hardin County resident, Lisa Pearman who was traveling south in a 2004 Ford Ranger.
Hunter Bailey was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office. Lisa Pearman was transported by air methods to the University of Louisville Hospital with life threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
The affected portion of Shepherdsville Road was closed for several hours in order to allow Kentucky State Police to investigate the collision.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Hardin County EMS, Elizabethtown Police, Hardin County Coroner, and Central and Hardin Fire Department.
The investigation remains ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
