Grayson County Officials are investigating after a driver tried to run a motorcyclist off the road before their passenger shot at him Tuesday evening.
At about 6:45 CST, a dark-colored SUV traveling eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway appeared to have been pursuing a burgundy Harley Davidson motorcycle, at a high rate of speed, according to a Grayson County Sheriff’s Office news release.
When the SUV attempted to run the motorcycle off the roadway, this caused the motorcyclist to lay the bike down in the slow lane, then stop in a ditch alongside the emergency lane.
Investigators believe the SUV then pulled into the emergency lane where the passenger exited the vehicle and shot multiple rounds at the motorcyclist. The passenger reentered the SUV and the driver fled eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway.
None of the rounds struck the motorcyclist and no injuries were reported, according to Grayson County Sheriff’s Office officials.
While witnesses to the road rage incident did stop to help the motorcyclist, they left the scene before police arrived.
The shooter is believed to be a white man, approximately 6’0″ with an average build and shoulder-length hair. He was seen wearing a red flannel shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to call the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office at 270-259-3024.
