Louisville Metro police have announced the second arrest in connection to the murder of a woman at the Shawnee Boat Ramp earlier this month.
On September 14, police said they found 32-year-old Rachael Hughes of Louisville shot to death at the Shawnee Boat Ramp.
Two days later, on September 16, they arrested 27-year-old Michael Bullock and charged him with murder, robbery, abuse of a corpse, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
On September 26, Louisville Metro Police Department said they arrested a juvenile suspect, who was not named, and charged them with receiving stolen property of $10,000 or more, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.
According to court documents, after Bullock allegedly shot Hughes, he left the scene and returned with the juvenile suspect 45 minutes later. They both allegedly dragged Hughes’ body into a wooded area.
Police also say the juvenile was caught on camera driving Hughes’ car down the boat ramp to pick up Bullock after he threw the victim’s phone into the river. They both left the scene together.
