Just after 11:00 a.m. Thursday, the Kentucky State Police Post 03 received a call about a possible fatal collision at the 65.8 mile marker on Interstate 65 in Hart County.
A preliminary investigation indicates a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica with a juvenile driver was traveling north on Interstate 65. The Chrysler collided with the rear end of a stopped 2023 Kenworth commercial vehicle operated by 59-year-old Jose Martinez-Monsivais.
The driver of the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Hart County Coroner.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, Hart County Coroner and Munfordville Fire Department. The investigation is ongoing by the Kentucky State Police.
