A Louisville man is in jail after police say he used Facebook Live to make direct threats to kill children.
Louisville Metro Police arrested 45 year-old Robert Deleuil early Thursday morning after an eight-hour-long stand-off with a SWAT team.
Louisville Metro Police was called out to Deleuil’s home on Lake Elkhorn Court Wednesday after a series of Facebook live videos were posted where he threatened to hurt people’s children at school.
According to the arrest citation, Deleuil made additional threats to his ex-girlfriend, her boyfriend, and officers who arrived at the scene.
“I’ll kill your kids. I’ll be at their school,” Deleuil said, staring into his phone. “They’re dead.”
When Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrived, they said Deleuil made threats to kill them as well, prompting SWAT to be called in. For hours, he continued to stream while surrounded by SWAT.
“I’m right here,” Deleuil yelled through his window. “I’m not coming out.”
LMPD’s SWAT team did eventually go in and took him out.
He is charged with two counts of terroristic threatening and one count of violating a protective order.
The case is still being investigated by LMPD’s Homeland Security Unit. Deleuil is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
