A 77-year-old man was killed Friday morning after police say he ran a red light in Greenville.
According to the Greenville Police Department, Larry Hancock was driving a 2011 Nissan Juke on the Highway 189 Bypass when he failed to stop at a red light.
Investigators said a 2020 Freightliner bucket truck, driven by 39-year-old Justin Frazier of White Plains, was traveling through the intersection when it struck Hancock’s vehicle on the driver’s side.
Hancock was taken to Owensboro Health Muhlenberg County Community Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. No other injuries were reported.
