A former Lexington federal prison employee pleaded guilty to having sex with an inmate.
Ariell Zulewski worked as a recreation specialist at the Federal Medical Center. On November 14, she admitted to abusive sexual contact and bribery.
Zulewski had sex with an inmate between December 2023 and February 2024 and sent nude photos to the inmate’s contraband cellphone.
Zulewski also provided contraband, such as tobacco and vapes, and received $500 via CashApp for not reporting it.
Zulewski is currently facing up to four years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Her sentencing is scheduled for February 13, 2026, at 1 p.m.
