
Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after causing a multi-vehicle crash Monday.
According to a press release, officers were dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision with injuries on North Main Street in Madisonville.
Officials say the driver that caused the crash, later identified as Justin Underwood, was initially unresponsive and bleeding from his mouth.
Police say Underwood hit five vehicles, causing significant damage, knocked down and destroyed a lamp post, pulling a utility line down across the road before coming to rest.
After he was medically cleared, he was arrested and transported to the Hopkins County Jail.
Underwood is charged with Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense (DUI); Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree.
