A Smiths Grove man is behind bars after he crash into a Christmas parade float before the Smiths Grove parade on Friday night.
Smiths Grove Police Department responded to a collision at Main Street and Kirby Street at approximately 5:26 P.M. Friday night.
Upon their arrival, officers found that 65-year-old Jeffrey Cannon had hit a parade float.
Adults and children were on the parade float at the time of the collision, but thankfully no one was injured.
Cannon was taken into custody for 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment and Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol.
The investigation remains ongoing. Cannon is lodged in the Warren County Detention Center under a $50,000 cash bond.
