It is case closed against former police chief Rick McCubbin after he was accused of assault over the summer.
During a quick hearing Friday, the judge dismissed the case against McCubbin for good. He was not in court.
Court documents previously claimed McCubbin and his 19-year-old stepdaughter were arguing over a pet gate at their Prospect home when he allegedly grabbed her by the arm and pinned her against the wall.
Now that the charges are permanently dismissed, they can be expunged from his record.
McCubbin has served as police chief in both Bardstown and Shepherdsville. He was U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Kentucky during the administration of President George W. Bush.
