A 48 year-old Florence man is behind bars after detectives found numerous devices with child porn on them.
Anderson Moore is facing 60 counts of child porn-related charges, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Office:
26 counts of distributing materials portraying a sexual performance by a minor under 12
34 counts of possession of material portraying a sexual performance by a minor
A press release from the sheriff’s office says detectives found an IP address that was connected to sharing numerous files that were known to contain child sexual abuse material.
That IP address was registered to Moore’s home on Plantation Drive in Florence, according to Boone County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Anthony Theetge.
On December 23, detectives, along with the Criminal Forensics Unit, Electronic Crimes Unit and electronics detection K-9, executed a search warrant at Moore’s home where they recovered “numerous electronic devices and other electronic media storage.”
Sgt. Theetge said during an interview with detectives, Moore admitted he used torrent software to download and view child pornography. He also admitted to uploading those videos.
Moore was arrested December 26 and is currently in the Boone County Detention Center on a $250,000 cash bond.
He is expected in court for his arraignment December 30.
