A teen was rushed to a hospital after being shot in the head while hunting in Crofton, Kentucky, on Friday afternoon.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies said the preliminary investigation into the shooting shows the 17-year-old was hunting near Grapevine Road and was shot in the head when a gun was accidentally fired.
The teen was taken to a Hopkinsville hospital by ambulance. Emergency responders initially tried to fly him to a hospital, but were unable to due to the weather.
The teen was taken to a Nashville hospital, where he later died.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
