
Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a man arrived at a downtown hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers responded at 5:51 p.m. to Norton Hospital in downtown Louisville on a call of a patient arriving with gunshot wounds on January 4, 2026.
At the hospital, police found the victim, who is described as a man in his 20’s with gunshot wounds in both legs. He was then taken by EMS from Norton’s to UofL Hospital for treatment.
Louisville Metro Police Department says the victim has been uncooperative and is refusing to tell detectives where the incident occurred.
An Louisville Metro Police Department spokesperson says that police are aware of a reported shooting near the Dollar General located off Winkler Ave in South Louisville, but cannot confirm if the incidents are connected at this time.
