A Logan County man is facing more than 100 criminal charges following a sexual assault investigation.
David T. Scheitlin, 44, of Auburn, is charged with 150 counts of first-degree rape and one count of third-degree unlawful transaction with a minor.
According to a complaint warrant obtained from the Logan County Circuit Clerk’s Office, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office investigated alleged crimes spanning from July 1, 2022, to January 1, 2026.
Investigators allege Scheitlin sexually assaulted a juvenile over several years. The investigation began after the child reported the abuse to a parent. Scheitlin was arrested January 19, 2026.
Authorities also allege Scheitlin provided alcohol, specifically Fireball whiskey, to the juvenile and other minors.
Scheitlin remains lodged in the Logan County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court January 22.
