
A Scottsville man was taken into custody Monday after officers located him for multiple outstanding arrest warrants and allegedly found illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
According to a release from Scottsville Police Department, officers located 36 year-old Phillip L. Windham and attempted to execute three active warrants. During the arrest, officers said Windham discarded illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia.
Windham was taken into custody without incident. A subsequent investigation led officers to search the vehicle Windham had been operating. Police reported finding approximately 1.2 grams of methamphetamine, 5.3 grams of marijuana, and additional drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
Windham was charged with possession of marijuana, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
Police said the arrest was assisted by the South Central Kentucky Drug Task Force.
The case remains under investigation.
